The Family Larsson-Rosenquist Foundation has been funding the research in Oxford since 2016, where they first funded the team to create growth charts for preterm infants.

In 2021, further funding was awarded to investigate how breastmilk influences infant outcomes in different preterm phenotypes look at the impact on breastfeeding on preterm infants.
