Dr Agustin Conde-Agudelo

In 1986, I graduated as Physician and Surgeon from the University of Valle in Cali, Colombia. In 1992, I completed my residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same university and my training in Perinatal Epidemiology at the Centro Rosarino de Estudios Perinatales (CREP) in Rosario, Argentina. In 2002 I received the Master degree in Public Health (Cum Laude) from the University of Valle in Cali Colombia and in 2013, I received the PhD degree in Health Sciences (Cum Laude and Extraordinary PhD Award) from the University of Alcalá in Madrid, Spain.  

In 2007, I was appointed as the Head of the Unit of Perinatal Epidemiology, Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses of the Perinatology Research Branch (PRB), Division of Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institutes of Health in Detroit, MI, USA up to January 2023 when the PRB moved to Bethesda. I have served as a consultant and advisor to the US Agency for International Development, WHO, and PAHO, among others.

I have published over 100 peer-reviewed articles with 19,700 citations and my current h-Index is 61. My major research interest focus in conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses of randomized controlled trials, prediction and diagnostic studies, and prognostic studies aiming to guide clinical practice in the field of obstetrics and perinatal medicine.
